Luyện nghe bài hát Downbound Train

A stranger lying on a bar room
Had drank so much he could no more
So he fell with a troubled brain
To dream he rode on that downbound train

The engine with blood was sweaty and
And brilliantly lit with a brimstone
And for fuel was shoveling bones
While the furnace rang with a thousand

The boiler was filled with lager
The himself was the engineer
The passengers were a motley crew
Some were foreigners and he knew
men in broadcloth, beggars in rags
Handsome young ladies and wicked old

As the train rushed on at a terrible
Sulphuric fumes scorched their and face
Wider and the country grew
Faster and the engine flew
and louder the thunder crashed
Brighter and the lighting flashed

and hotter the air became
Till their clothes were burned each quivering refrain
Then out of the din came a yell
Ha ha said the devil nearing home
Oh how the shrieked with pain
They old Satan to stop that train

The stranger awoke with an cry
His clothes wet with sweat and his hair high
He fell on his on the bar room floor
And prayed a prayer never before

And the and vows were not in vain
For he never rode that downbound
